Caiman Video Log
Now you can say you've really seen it all! Here are some old videos contributed from your shipmates taken at reunions and from their time on Caiman. Some of them came to me in the form of a VHS tape or on a DVD. Of course, all the videos from the Caiman days were made with an 8mm movie camera so there is no sound. Some of the videos here are from our reunions. If you have any videos that you would like to contribute, please send them my way.
Most of the videos are listed down the page but there are also some on YouTube. Go to YouTube and search on FlaminCaiman or USS Caiman and you will find them. Here's a link to the latest one: Caiman DBF
Over the years our camera gear and software has changed which resulted in having videos of different formats and quality. In the list of videos below, click on the video title and you will either be wisked away to another place such as YouTube or Google Photos or it will be what is called a Flash video which requires that you have a Flash Player plug-in installed with your browser. If you don't have the Flash plug-in installed you should be asked if you want it installed. In case you are not asked, you can get it here. You may find that your browser is blocking the installation. You would have to go into your seetings to unblock it. I wish it wasn't so, but it is. In the goodness of time, I will convert these videos to another format, so this won't be necessary.
After you click on a video it might take several minutes for the video to load depending on the video format and the speed of your connection and the size of the file. Some of the videos have visible controls and some don't. If you don't see the controls, place your cursor over the video and the controls will appear - click on the > and it will play. Someday, I hope to standardize all the videos so they are easier to view.
Now, sit back and enjoy the show.
